NCAA DIII Regional Semi-Finals – Married Head Coaches Face-off in Road Island Today

Today in New England spouses Ben Somera (Head Coach, Wesleyan ) and Nancy Somera ( Head Coach, JWU ) face off to see who’s team will reach the regional finals. Both coaches have coached both the DI and DIII levels.

AVA Tryout Updates – MIAA Tournament – Please Read

Dear Athlete / Family,

Due to the number of teams in tournament and playing Monday we have decided to postpone16 and over tryouts for all athletes until Sunday November 12th.

Athletes still in tournament should be focused on High School and not on tryouts.

This is our revised tryout and meeting schedule:

Informational Meeting ( optional )

November 4th, 10am-11am Crosby School

15 and Under Tryouts

November 5th, 9am-11am Richmond Community School

November 12th, 8:30am-10:00am Richmond Community School

16 and Over Tryouts

November 12th 10am-12:30pm Richmond Community School

Alternate Tryouts – For anyone who can not make one of the dates above

November 18th 10am-12:00 / 12:00-2:00pm Crosby School

AVA High Performance Clinics featuring Williams Head Coach Christi Kelsey
Saturday Feb 20th
Richmond Community School, Richmond, MA

Clinic 1: Advanced Attack Dynamics & Blocking 12:30 to 2:30 pm
Clinic 2: Passing and Defense 2:30 to 4:30 pm
Clinic 3: Setting ( including setting for DS ) 4:30 to 6:30 pm

These fun but intense clinics will be lead by Christi Kelsey and will include a player to coach ratio of 4 to 1 or better.

Fees:

– $20 for one clinic
– $30 for two clinics
– $35 for all three clinics

Note: Space is limited and will be assigned based on signup date so please signup early!
