NERVA has decided not to extend the NERVA 1 day events and to cancel them but will sanction club play once USA Volleyball allows it.   In addition, USA Volleyball is now allowing online training.

AVA is working with local clubs and will provide volleyball when it is allowed including indoor and outdoor play.  Thank you for your kind words and support during these difficult times.

Dear AVA Members,

We are a close community of nearly 100 students and over 200 parents, coaches and family members and it is hard for each and everyone of us to have to pause our club’s volleyball practices and matches.

However, we are part of a regional, national and global community that is currently tasked with doing everything we can to slow down the spread of the flu and the coronavirus.

Social Distancing is a proven way to reduce the impacts and slow down the spread of any virus. This is the underlying reason we and our towns and our governing bodies are temporarily suspending practices and tournaments.

Please be well, wash your hands, observe all precautions and we will see you all back on the court as soon as possible.

Pittsfield Public Schools – Statement 3/12/2020

Please note after many meetings with State and Local Health Officials and following the press conference held by the Mayor today, it is with the utmost safety and health concerns for all parties involved that we suspend all after school rental use of our school gyms, auditoriums and classrooms through April vacation.

This is effective immediately. This includes Conte & MSCS as well.

We all must be mindful and understanding of the current health situation and take appropriate actions to protect ourselves and you and your families from any risks.

Please pass this along to all your coaches/players/event planners etc to ensure everyone has been clearly notified.

This list includes but not inclusive to:
All AAU/YMCA/Boys Club Basketball programs
All Volleyball groups
All soccer groups
All softball and baseball tryouts and or practices
Berkshire Chorus Practice
Girl Scout Meetings

All public shows scheduled through my office foe the use of a school auditorium. Please note that no new requests will be accepted at this time as well.

Thank you to Pittsfield Parks and Recreation, Pittsfield Tuesday Volleyball and the local college coaches that support this program in various ways.
