AVA Summer Programs

AVA Volleyball Summer Programs are for players who want to continue to improve their all-around skills while having fun without the pressure of tournaments or competing for playing time. For beginners, the programs provide a fun supportive environment to learn all aspects of the sport and for intermediate/advanced players it provides an opportunity for players to take their game to the next level and to improve their individual skills.

All participants must be AAU members, space is limited

Advanced Grass Volleyball (16U+)

Program Schedule: Mondays, Jun 19 – Aug 14, 2023 (Optional open play days on Thursday)

  • Varsity-level players 16U and older, played at least 2 years on School or Club team
  • Players expected to have excellent ball control, including consistent contacts in passing, setting, serving, and attacking
  • Goal of the program is to start with 4’s format but also introduce the Doubles variant while advancing player’s all-around skills
  • Tryout Registration – Tentatively June 5 @ Marchisio Park, 5:30PM

Summer Pop-up Clinic Series (High School Level)

Program Schedule: Most Sundays, Jul 9 – Aug 13, 2023 (Sign-ups every week)

  • At least 1 year of high-school volleyball play experience
  • This program is designed for high school players of all ages. This series of clinics will focus on specific skill areas using drills and some scrimmage play. The purpose is to provide an in-depth technical breakdown for each skillset to help hone player’s technique.
