AVA Volleyball of Berkshire MA is entering its 3rd year of Junior Olympics and 5th as a development academy. Last season our club grew to over 60 athletes from ages 12 to 17. This year we will most likely be adding an 18s team.
During our 2017 season we ran two HP teams and two club level teams, participated in Mizuno Boston, Winterfest in Hartford and all NERVA events. We emphasize the development of core values that go beyond the sport of volleyball and our coaches are lifelong learners who support and teach their athletes.
These values and our supportive approach translate directly into success in all areas. We do not prioritize outcomes over the process of having fun while improving individually and as a team. Our 2017 Athletes are a big part of local high school teams and the Berkshire community and we are proud of each and every one of them.
2017/2018 Season
This season we will have Open/HP Teams, Club Teams and our Development Academy. We have several new coaches joining us from high school programs and a new clinic / open program format to ensure maximum success of our athletes.
Tryouts will be held on dates to avoid conflicts with high school, etc. If you can not make a tryout you will be given an alternate date during the week. Please use this form to let us know interest.
Competition Results
Our best placing team finished with a silver in the top bracket in the New England Regional Championships – the highest finish ever for any Berkshire County team. In addition, all our teams had progressive seasons, moving up in brackets with some winning multiple tournaments. Combined we earned a total of 11 finals appearances with 7 gold medals in NERVA events.
