Payment

Multi-day tournaments require team registration early on in the season so it is imperative that dues are submitted on-time to avoid missing a tournament registration. AVA player dues are due on the following dates:

  • ~$200 due at acceptance of team offer
  • ~50% of remaining dues by Jan 4
  • ~100% of dues by Feb 8

Refund Policy

Fees paid are non-refundable after a player has accepted a position on a team. The reason being is that once a player commits to a team, most of the team budget is expended in the first few weeks to cover gym rental fees, tournament entry fees, equipment purchases, uniform purchases, etc. are non-refundable to the club.

Refund exceptions can only be made due to a season-ending injury as a direct result of participating in a sanctioned event, serious illness, or relocation out of the area (over 50 miles away). In this instance, pro-rata refunds may be granted with a written request to the Club Director accompanied by a physician’s report when applicable. In the case of injury or illness, the club must receive a signed statement from a physician that states the player cannot participate in volleyball and the duration of the restriction.

There are no credits/refunds for players who are unable to attend tournaments or practices, regardless of prior notification. There are no credits or refunds for players who quit.

Pro-rata refunds may be made as follows:

• If injury or illness, AVA Volleyball Club must have a written statement from a physician that states the player cannot participate in volleyball and for how long they must be out. If that timeframe goes beyond the date of the end of the regular season for that player’s team, or if the player provides proof that they have moved over 50 miles away from their current residence, refunds will be given within 30 days of the above notice and statement in the following amounts:

• Prior to Jan 5th, will be 50% of total fees paid

• Between Jan 5th and Feb 5th will be 40% of total fees paid

• After Feb 5th to end of regular season will be 20% of total fees paid

• There is no credit or refunds for players who are unable to attend tournaments or practices regardless of prior notification.

If tournaments are canceled and not rescheduled, AVA Volleyball Club will refund amounts based on tournament entry fee that is refunded and planned coaches’ expenses. For example, if the expenses for Tournament X are $700 and the team consists of 10 players, each player will be refunded $70. ($700/10 players).
