Cailyn Straubel

Cailyn Straubel, Williams Volleyball Assistant Coach, will lead our  newest High Performance team for the 2016/2017 season.   Prior to Williams, Straubel was a 4-year starter at Connecticut College.

Straubel has coaching experience in the following areas:

  • USA Volleyball CAP I Training Program
  • USA Volleyball IMPACT
  • Coach for Sound Volleyball Club 16’s and 18’s teams
  • Instructed Volleytots—an introductory volleyball program for 3-5 year olds
  • Coach for ENRICH—an afterschool program for middle school students
  • 3 Year Connecticut College Summer Camp Coach

A two-time captain of the Connecticut College Camels, Straubel was named to the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team three times. In 2012, she helped her team to the NESCAC championships and into the second round of NCAA play.

In her 10 year club playing career, Straubel had 5 Open appearances at the US National Championships (JO’s) with Skyline Juniors. Her team finished second in the nation in the 16 Open in 2010. She was awarded MVP of her 13’s and 17’s team, best defensive player for her 18’s team and recorded the most digs for the entire club in 2012.
